Meshes, Diagrams, Knots and Staples

Lucía Casani, Tere Badia, Silvia Zayas, Joana Moll, Claudio Barría and Clara Piazuelo

Artists Joana Moll and Silvia Zayas, and scientist Claudio Barría, along with the people coordinating GRAPA—Clara Piazuelo (GRAPA coordinator), Susana Arias (CCCB), Anna Manubens (Hangar) and Tere Badia (HacTe)—, discus the artistic methodologies in art, science, technology and society (ACTS) brought into play by the GRAPA prototype. During this conversation they present the two paper-format notebooks produced by the project, and address themes such as artistic positioning, the need to signal crisis and be able to intervene, managing anxiety, and the rhythms or distribution of agency in the processes. They also talk about the conflict between art and technology with a view to identifying the obstacles and the symmetries between the two disciplines.

Participants: Lucía Casani, Tere Badia, Silvia Zayas, Joana Moll, Claudio Barría, Clara Piazuelo, Anna Manubens, Susana Arias
