Mercè Folch

A journalist and scriptwriter, with a degree in Catalan Philology, and a diploma in Audiovisual Communication, she has worked in the radio stations Ona Catalana, Ràdio Barcelona-Cadena Ser, RAC-1, and Catalunya Ràdio. In public broadcasting, she has worked in news departments and, for six seasons, with Joan Barril in the programme The Cafè de la República. She has covered the humanitarian crisis of refugees in the programmes La Tribu and El Suplement, as well as reporting, on several occasions, from refugee camps in Greece, the south of Sicily, and the Ceuta border fence. She is presently director of the Catalunya Ràdio programme Solidaris.
