Bamako

The seventh edition of the Bamako Rencontres Africaines de la Photographie focused on the subject of urban life. The photographers taking part in the Rencontres highlighted the theme by looking at cities as urban enclaves that are, fundamentally, networks of material and immaterial relationships between individuals and groups rather than material and functional structures and devices.
