Pepon Meneses Gutiérrez

He is an illustrator and animator. He also has training in architecture and music. Some of his works have been shown in specialist festivals such as Dérapage 16, in the Cinémathèque Québécoise de Montreal, Festival NRMAL, in Mexico City or Videoex, in Zurich. He co-directs his own studio from where he develops animated graphics projects -personal or commissioned- for cinema, television or institutional artistic events. He is a professor at Pompeu Fabra University, and has also been a speaker at art education centers such as the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln (Cologne) or Media Art Morocco (MAM) and the Punto y Raya Festival. He has been awarded the Junceda prize for Animation in 2015 and 2018, and was selected in the Open Panoramic Call of the Panoramic Festival of Film and Photography 2019. The hybridization of techniques and graphic languages ​​is one of the characteristics that mark his work.
