He graduated as a scriptwriter from the Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC) in 2001 and began to write lyrics and play the guitar with Alejandro Marzoa, thus forming the duo Manos de Topo. At the same time, he worked with Dead Man on Campus, a group which played free experimental jazz and whose members were Cristian Subirà (Weimar), Alberto Flores and Dashiell Fernandez (Spain) and Pablo Díaz (El Guincho). He recorded a disc with this group in the Mikemayer studio. Once this project was finalised, Manos de Topo took on two new members, Rafael Julià and Rafael de los Arcos, and recorded the disc Ortopedias Bonitas (Beautiful Orthopaedics) in the Mikemayer studio with the recording company Sones. At present Miguel Ángel Blanca is writing a film script and working on the second Manos de Topo disc.
