The Permanent Game
Lecture by Aubrey Anable
Playing with Feelings
Debate
In this session, presented by curator, writer, and researcher José Luis de Vicente, Aubrey Anable, lecturer in Film Studies, will speak about how videogames have become intimately linked with our emotional terrain since the first digital computers appeared.
Playing opens up a space for discovering new sensations and affective relations which we incorporate into our everyday lives. If, as theory of the affects claims, the emotional is something that is produced by touching the world, what emotions are produced between the virtual and the palpable, between what is inside and what is outside the screen?
