"The year 2023 was an inflection point in our relationship with artificial intelligence (AI). This was due to the arrival of different AIs that have democratised our ability to generate texts and images (it is no longer necessary to know how to programme a computer), which, in many cases, make it hard to detect whether they have been created by AI or a human.

This has fuelled an interesting public debate: where is AI heading and what will its consequences be for humanity? Although, as a society, we are coming to terms with the fact that AI is part of almost every aspect of our lives and that it will change the world irreversibly, there is still no consensus about where this AI revolution is going to take us. This publication reflects on the way AI, like any powerful tool, can be beneficial or harmful depending on who uses it and for what ends. In other words, although AI has a great potential to improve our lives, its improper use could be damaging and have a negative impact on humanity."
