Begonya Saez Tajafuerce

Begonya Saez holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she is also a professor and coordinator of master's and doctoral studies in the Department of Philosophy. Her research focuses on the definition and representation of identity. She is a member of the Grupo de Investigación Cuerpo y Textualidad (in English Research Group Body and Textuality), which, from an interdisciplinary perspective, analyzes the body as a site of identity and examines how gender, ethnicity, class, and sexual identity are inscribed within it through cultural discourses. She edited the book Cuerpo, memoria y representación: Adriana Cavarero y Judith Butler en diálogo (in English Body, Memory, and Representation: Adriana Cavarero and Judith Butler in Dialogue, Icaria, 2014).
