The Earth for Those who Take Care of it

Workshop on Art and Mediation with Tau Luna Acosta

Courses and workshops

Artist Tau Luna Acosta creates a space for collective reflection where we’ll debate artistic mediation and explore materials such as cassava and iron, along with artistic languages like drawing and fabric.

This workshop enables us to explore the artist’s creative process to examine how we relate to contexts that are alien to us, and how our bodies can receive and interpret information about worlds in which we have never set foot. Using the devices in the mediation space of the exhibition Amazonias. The Ancestral Future, it asks us how we connect with unknown territories, and how we open up to the languages and knowledge of other cultures.

Tau Luna Acosta will accompany us in a dialogue about artistic mediation as a way to collectively “digest” the exhibition’s contents, using artistic techniques, materials and practices specific to Amazonian territories.
