International Museum Day, held on 18 May, is an event organized by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) to sensitize citizens to the importance of museums in the development of society. On or around this day, museums organize activities for all audiences and open their doors free of charge. The Saturday night before International Museum Day is the Night of Museums, during which museums also organize doors-open events and other activities. The CCCB is taking part with doors-open days to the exhibitions and a programme of DJ sessions.
