The Virtual Body

Debate

In this session, presented by the writer Laura Fernández, videogame scriptwriter and author Cassandra Khaw, one of the most interesting young voices in terror and science fiction literature, will read a story about the capacity for transformation of the virtual body.

Videogames offer the possibility of entering an incorporeal reality where the mind apparently splits from the body. But the fact is, the body remains there, whether it is through mutation into digital avatars or as a tool allowing interaction with the machine. What spaces of relationship are we constructing by means of this new virtual corporeality?

Presenters: Laura Fernández
