DocsBarcelona reaches its 27th edition with a committed program that will bring the best of the world's documentary production to the public.

DocsBarcelona reaches its 27th edition with the most vibrant, authentic and committed proposals of the last year to bring to the public the best of the world's documentary production, some of which will have their premiere at out home and others that have recently premiered at major festivals around the world.

The colonial gaze, memory and dignity; artificial intelligence, and the different forms and expressions of love are some of the thematic axes of this edition, which will also bring to Barcelona great masters of documentary, such as filmmakers Raymond Depardon and Claudine Nougaret, who will receive the Docs of Honor in recognition of their career, and Victor Kossakovsky, who will return to the festival to screen for the first time in Spain his latest film, Architecton, premiered at the Berlinale. This year's headliners also include documentary filmmaker John Wilson, who will give a Masterclass as part of the DocsBarcelona Industry (May 6-10).

DocsBarcelona will be held from May 2-12 at the CCCB and the Renoir Floridablanca Cinemas, and will open with Agent of Happiness, by Arun Bhattarai and Dorottya Zurbó, at the Phenomena Cinemas.
