Món Llibre 2025
Literary festival for children and young people
Festivals + Family
Free
Món Llibre is back, a don’t-miss event for kids, young people, families, and all lovers of children’s and young people’s literature. This year the theme is literature and play.
This year’s new features include the incorporation of a recreational-exhibition space dedicated to children’s literature. The exhibition is the leading thread of the programme, to which all the activities are linked. The programme is completed by a professional event with literary and visual creation workshops facilitated by authors, illustrators and publishers of recognized prestige.
The Món Llibre festival embarks on a new phase, marked by a handover of artistic direction and a new approach. The new co-directors, Anna Juan Cantavella and Piu Martínez, with extensive experience in the world of children’s literature, bring a fresh, committed approach to literary and artistic quality. The aim is to create a space where children can not only read, but also experiment, create and interact with the world of books in an active, participatory way.
Along with all these Món Llibre activities for our youngest public, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25, the CCCB offers free admission to the exhibitions Amazonias, Chris Ware and In the Troubled Air..., and various guided visits. Sunday will also be doors-open day to the CCCB’s Mirador Hall.
