Bivac 2025 Open Call

Want to be involved in creating and running a festival of thought?

Festivals

Would you like to be part of the group of young curators of Bivac 2025?

We’re looking for 10 young people between the ages of 18 and 25 with a variety of interests and trainings to get involved in the fourth outing of the Bivac Festival, which will take place in late November 2025.

Bivac is a training workshop. For eight months (February to November), the group will be accompanied by the CCCB and La Sullivan, and receive training from various thinkers, creators and curators. Together we’ll learn what’s behind the creation of a festival: the idea, the accompaniment, the production, the image, the communication, etc. Together, we’ll also create a young people’s festival of thought that is celebrating its fourth edition.

Selection process

If you’d like to form part of this workshop of creation and curatorship to programme Bivac 2025, send the following information to [email protected], attached in a Word document or PDF by 10 January:

  • Name, date of birth, telephone number and email address.
  • A letter of presentation and motivation for forming part of the project.
  • A video (maximum 3 minutes) in which you explain the most recent cultural proposal (work, venue, festival, concert, exhibition, artist) that you liked, and why.
  • A proposal for an activity invented for Bivac 2025, to be organized in the foyer of the CCCB. Developing a theme, the idea is to explain the format and who the participants of the activity would be.

A team consisting of representatives of the CCCB and La Sullivan will evaluate the applications.

On 17 January we will communicate the results of this first phase to you individually by email. We will call the pre-selected candidates to a personal interview on the afternoons of 20 to 24 January. We will send information about the finalist applications by email on 31 January. The first session of Bivac 2025 will be on 13 February.

Important information

  • Send the material in a single file, with your name in the title of the document.
  • If you are selected for interview, let us know if you are unable to attend on any of the afternoons proposed for this purpose: from 20 to 24 January (include this information in the document you send us).
  • By presenting your proposal, you undertake to attend 80% of the training sessions, which will take place on Thursdays, from 16:30 to 18:00 at the CCCB.
  • Training days: every Thursday, from 13 February to 19 June and from 18 September to the starting date of the festival (October-November).

Bivac, the festival of young people’s thought, has taken place twice. You can consult the programmes and watch the videos from 2022 and 2023.
