Machines That Think: Opportunities and Dilemmas of Artificial Intelligence

2015 ICREA - CCCB Debates

Reflection on artificial intelligence opens many doors and future opportunities: creating intelligence is a great challenge, and today’s technology, especially in the computer sciences is constantly advancing. In this cycle of lectures we explore different kinds of intelligence, ours and those we can, and will be able to produce. We shall ponder the implications of this exploration because artificial intelligence could surpass our own intelligence in the future and proceed with its own, and even autonomous development. Should we fear this?
