City Symphonies 2025
Forth edition of the audiovisual project by the CCCB
City Symphonies is a project to promote creation that, every year, commissions several women cineastes to portray the city where they live. The films are envisaged as a personal diary in which the filmmakers record their thoughts, experiences and emotions.
The filmmakers taking part are selected via a call for entries held in collaboration with the professional collective Dones Visuals, the aim being to give a voice to both established and emerging filmmakers.
In this, the project’s fourth year, five new works will be presented, all filmed in Barcelona and other towns in the metropolitan area. They’ll be premiered at the D'A - Barcelona Film Festival and then each one will have its own tour of national and international festivals.
