José Luis Pardo

Professor of Philosophy, Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Professor of Philosophy at the Complutense University of Madrid, he is a specialist in contemporary French philosophy and has translated such authors as Gilles Deleuze, Guy Debord, Giorgio Agamben and Emmanuel Levinas. He writes regularly for reviews in his field and his most recent books are La regla del juego. Sobre la dificultad de aprender filosofía (The Rule of the Game: On the Difficulty of Studying Philosophy – winner of the National Essay Prize in 2004), La intimidad (Intimacy – Valencia, Pre-textos, 2004), Esto no es música. Introducción al malestar de la cultura de masas (This Is Not Music: Introduction to the Malaise of Mass Culture, 2007), and Nunca fue tan hermosa la basura (Never Was Junk so Beautiful, 2010).
