Joan Rieradevall

Senior Professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering and lead researcher of the Sostenipra group of the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ICTA) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Winner of the 2004 prize for sustainable projects from the City of Barcelona (2004); the first prize for 2000 Recycling Design from the Department of the Environment of the Generalitat (Government) of Catalonia (2001); and the 1990 City of Barcelona prize for Applied Technology for the Environment from Barcelona City Hall (1991).

Over 140 articles in scientific and technical publications, 20 books and book chapters, summaries on the subject of the environment: urban systems, analyses of the life cycles of products, processes and services, waste treatment, environmental planning and management, ecodesign and energy exploitation.
