Guillem Jiménez

Dancer and Choreographer

With the study of movement as the thread running through all his artistic production, Guillem Jiménez works with the choreography of bodies, videos and other media. Develops an independent line of work, ranging from stage or audiovisual pieces to hybrid formats between installation and performance. His current project, laSADCUM, incorporates the productions The Uncanny Valley (2019), which won an artist residency at La Caldera in the Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid; The Lesson (2020), winner of the Jury Prize of the Festival 10 Sentidos and the ACT 2021 AWARD for the best international dance piece; and the work Aclucalls (2022), which was premiered at the Teatre del CCCB. His solo work explores the different languages of choreography and his own body: Dance Lesson (2018-2020), Duquela (2018) and the solo in process, Twink (2023). His work has been shown at venues such as La Casa Encendida, Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, Espacio Inestable, MAC Festival, Sala Ars, TKM Room/Maricas, Fundació Mies van der Rohe and the Centro Cultural Conde Duque.

He has taken part in collaborative processes with artists and institutions such as Reece Cox, JazzBetween, BlueProject Foundation, Pedro Torres, Amor Projects, Amalia S. de Nieves and Albert Riera; and, as, as a performer, he has worked with creators such as Amaranta Velarde, Mar Aguiló, Candela Capitán, Aimar Pérez Galí, Javier Guerrero, Claudia Mirambell, Hanna Tervonen and Ester Guntín.
