Gary Lachman

Born in New Jersey in 1955, Gary Lachman is a writer and musician. His writings, translated into more than a dozen languages, explore the connections between culture, consciousness and the western esoteric tradition. Some of his books have been published in Spanish, among them Politics and the Occult: The Left, the Right, and the Radically Unseen (El ocultismo en la política – Ediciones Luciérnaga, 2017), A Secret History of Consciousness (Una historia secreta de la conciencia – Ediciones Atalanta, 2016), and The Caretakers of the Cosmos: Living Responsibly in an Unfinished World (Guardianes del cosmos – IAO Arte Editorial, 2017). He presently writes for several British publications including The Guardian, Fortean Times, and Independent on Sunday among others. He was previously linked with the underground rock scene as a member of Blondie and guitarist for Iggy Pop.
