David Bueno i Torrens

PhD in Biology and lecturer in Genetics at the University of Barcelona. Oxford and Barcelona have been the base cities of his professional and academic career which is focused on genetics of development and neuroscience, and their relationship with human behaviour. He teaches several subjects in the field of genetics and has published more than fifty articles in specialist journals. In the domain of popular science, he has published seven books in order to make science more accessible to citizens, as well as several text books. He writes regularly for several media publications including the newspapers El Punt Avui, Ara, and La Vanguardia). In 2010 he received the “General Study” award of European Commission’s Science Communication Prize.
