Clara Serra

Writer, philosopher and professor

Researcher, feminist activist and former member of the Assembly of Madrid. She is currently a researcher at ADHUC (Center for Theoretical Research, Gender, Sexuality of the University of Barcelona), where she is part of the teaching staff. She is a gender and feminist trainer and her research focuses on the construction and representation of identities and on masculinity studies. She is a member of the «Malas Feministas» [Bad Feminists] collective.

She holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Studies of Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid and another in Interdisciplinary Studies in Gender from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She was in charge of the Area of Equality for the political party Podemos from its founding until 2017. She is the author of the books Leonas y zorras. Leonas y zorras. Estrategias políticas feministas (Catarata, 2018) and Manual Ultravioleta (Penguin Random House, 2019) and regularly publishes opinion pieces in various media outlets, such as El País.
