Anna Ballbona

Writer and journalist

Anna Ballbona is a writer and journalist. She has published the novels No soc aquí (Llibres Anagrama Prize 2020) and Joyce i les gallines (Anagrama, 2016), translated into Spanish, German and Greek. She is the author of the books of poems La mare que et renyava era un robot (Galerada, 2017) and Conill de gàbia (La Breu Edicions, 2012), and of the non-fiction Elles competeixen (Ciutat de Barcelona Award Grant 2021). She has a master's degree in Comparative Literature from the UAB, writes in the "Quadern" of El País and collaborates in the literature program of Catalunya Ràdio Ciutat Maragda. She has received a Leonardo grant from the BBVA Foundation for her next literary project. She has created the interview podcast Domini màgic, and has prefaced the new edition of Jordi Cussà's novel Formentera Lady (Comanegra, 2023).
