Ten Thousand Ways to Read

"Today we have at our disposal new ways of reading and perhaps of writing... The good ways of reading today succeed in treating a book as you would a record you listen to, a film or a television programme, in the way we receive a song: all treatment of the book that demands for it a special respect, a different type of attention, comes from another age and definitively sentences the book."

Gilles Deleuze. Dialogues

K05. Special Edition presents an audiovisual work that takes its inspiration from the numerous ways of reading and the desacralization of the book as a privileged format for the transmission of culture. The work, conceived as a multimedia documentary fiction, is presented in a special version for the Kosmopolis Patio and in an installation that takes an in-depth look at reading habits and the emergence of new types of readers.

The installation includes exclusive interviews with Bunmi Akpata-Ohohe, Ulrich Beck, Soheib Bencheikh, Craig Calhoun, André Comte-Sponville, Cory Doctorow, Hans Magnus Enzensberger, Harvie Ferguson, Mai Ghoussoub, Enrique Gil Calvo, Lucía Lagunes, Lawrence Lessig, Olivier Roy, Josep-Maria Terricabras and Maha Yahya.
