Stories of the future: Scientífic-technological Kubrick

In Kubrick’s explicitly scientific-technological cinema, the storylines, generally parables of dehumanisation, contrast with their bold, meticulously designed technical and aesthetic proposals. In his work, we will examine the illusion of control by means of scientific-technological development, where illusion refers, in terms of narrative, both to the hopes cherished behind a deceptive appearance and to the sham or disappointment it represents; and technically and aesthetically, to the possibilities of the medium in terms of forms of perception.
