Ottesa Moshfegh is one of the most renowned writers on the literary scene today. Recognized with several awards such as the PEN/Hemingway and nominated for the Man Booker for Eileen (Penguin Press, 2015), she became internationally known with My Year of Rest and Relaxation (published in Catalan by Angle and in Spanish by Alfaguara, 2021), an acid novel about the search for the meaning of life. In 2023 she published Lapvona (published in Catalan by Angle and in Spanish by Alfaguara), which has consolidated her as an author with a great capacity to delve into the darkest dimension of the human condition. With the publication in Catalan and Spanish of her first work, McGlue (in Catalan by Angle and in Spanish by Alfaguara, 2024), the author visits the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) for the first time.
