Translated into Catalan and Spanish, in Death in Her Hands (Penguin Press, 2020, published in Catalan by Angle and in Spanish by Alfaguara, 2021) or in Homesick for Another World (Penguin Press, 2017, published in Catalan by Angle and in Spanish by Alfaguara, 2022) she delves into the instability and adversity of his characters with a curated and dark prose. In 2023 came Lapvona (Penguin Press, 2022, published in Catalan by Angle and in Spanish by Alfaguara), a gothic novel that explores the limits of political correctness. Ten years later comes his debut McGlue (FenceBooks, 2014, published in Catalan by Angle and in Spanish by Alfaguara, 2024), in which Moshfegh takes us back to the mid-nineteenth century and, based on the memories of his protagonist, explores the darkest landscapes of the human mind.
