The Barcelona Independent Film Festival, L'Alternativa, is the annual meeting point for lovers of independent film, viewers and professionals alike. Now in its 13th year, it includes some 400 films (Official Sections, Parallel Sections, Screen in the Foyer) and Parallel Activities: workshops (Screenplay, Music and Film, Postproduction), round tables, exhibitions and dramatized readings.

This year's guests include filmmakers Humberto Solás, Theo Angelopoulos, Eyal Sivan, Sergio Benvenuto (Festival Cine Pobre de Cuba) and Lars Gass (Oberhausen Festival), and composer Patrick Doyle (film music workshop).

4 € per session in the Auditorium of the CCCB and Cines Alexandra

2 € per session at the Institut Français de Barcelone

Teatre Romea: to be confirmed

3.20 € per session on presentation of a Carnet Jove and Friends of the CCCB card

L'Alternativa pass: 30 € for all sessions. On sale from Telentrada de Caixa Catalunya (902.101.212) and at the desk of the CCCB.

Free sessions: FNAC El Triangle, Foyer of the CCCB, mornings in the Auditorium of the CCCB, FNAC El Triangle and Casa Amèrica a Catalunya.

All screenings will be in the original version with Catalan subtitles and film format (16/35 mm) unless indicated otherwise. The CCCB reserves the right to modify the programme for reasons of force majeure.
