La comiquera

A comic-book creation space for all ages

Courses and workshops + Education + Family

Free

"La Comiquera" is a space open to visitors where you can draw, join in workshops with the artists in the exhibition Graphic Constellation and other guests from the independent comic book world, browse books and fanzines, have fun with the family or take a break during your visit to the CCCB.

Located in the foyer on the second floor, on the way to the exhibition Graphic Constellation, "La Comiquera" is both a workshop space and a fun meeting point to experiment with the language of comic books.

A space to draw

A place where you can draw your own stories, alone or accompanied. You’ll have drawing materials and a series of resources designed to experiment with the language of comic books and the possibilities of sequenced storytelling: an interactive screen, a collective narrative mural and the "Graphic Roulette", a proposal of the artist and illustrator Núria Inés (Tinta Fina) for all publics, that invites you to create, play and overcome your fear of the blank page.

A little library

An area where you can consult and take your time to enjoy a selection of books by the artists in the «Graphic Constellation» exhibition and other cartoonists who have influenced their work.

And a programme of workshops

At "La Comiquera" you can take part in a programme of small-format workshops with the artists of "Graphic Constellation"and other guests from the world of independent comics. There will be workshops for everyone, adults and children. As places are limited, prior registration is required.
