Stefano Mancuso

Pioneer in the study of plant neurobiology and advocate of plant intelligence. One of the world’s leading authorities in the field of plant neurobiology, he is Associate Professor at the University of Florence, director of the International Laboratory of Plant Neurobiology, and a founding member of the International Society for Plant Signaling & Behavior. He has published more than 250 scientific articles in international journals and has written several books. Notable among those published in Spanish, all by Galaxia Gutenberg, are Sensibilidad e inteligencia en el mundo vegetal (2015), co-authored by the journalist Alessandra Viola; Biodiversos (2016), in which he engages in dialogue with Carlo Petrini, founder of the Slow Food movement; El futuro es vegetal (2017); El increíble viaje de las plantas (2019), and La nació de les plantes (2020), in which he offers a revolutionary perspective on the world of plants.
