Laura Fernández

A writer, journalist, and culture critic with a long career in the written media and publications including El País, El Mundo, Qué Leer, and Playground, she has also published several books, among them Bienvenidos a Welcome (Elipsis, 2008), Wendolin Kramer (Seix Barral, 2011), La chica zombie (Seix Barral, 2013), El show de Grossman (Aristas Martínez, 2013), and Connerland (Literatura Random House, 2017). Her most recent book, La señora Potter no es exactamente Santa Claus (Literatura Random House, 2021), was awarded the 2021 El Ojo Crítico Prize for Fiction, the 2021 Finestres Prize for Spanish Fiction, and was named one of the best books of the year by La Vanguardia and ABC.
