Mar Reguant

ICREA researcher and expert in energy economics.

With a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mar Reguant is ICREA researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) Institute for Economic Analysis and member of the Advisory Council for the Sustainable Development of Catalonia (CADS). Her area of research is electricity market auctions, and she has also studied carbon dioxide emissions markets and mechanisms for reducing contamination and increasing the efficiency of energy policies. In 2017, she received the 16th Banc Sabadell Foundation award for her research in energy and environmental economics; in 2023, the National Young Talent Research Prize from the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation; and, in 2024, the National Young Research Prize (Clara Campoamor category), in Law and Economic and Social Sciences.
