Puppets, masks, automata, robots, aliens, mutants, vampires, giants, phantoms, objects that speak, materials that come to life, the inhabitants of dreams and the occult, all citizens of the imaginary. The Barcelona International Visual Theatre and Puppet Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a whole new approach, in the desire to give this type of spectacle a new lease of life.

This catalogue is a review of these 25 years of puppets and visual theatre, and a reflection on the present and future of this theatrical genre from the point of view of various artists and theorists in the world of spectacle.
