Zahida Membrado

Journalist specialized in Iran. Between 2014 and 2016 she lived and worked in the country as a correspondent for El Mundo, a period in which she also collaborated as a freelance reporter with several media such as Hispanopost-Miami, Diari ARA, SER RADIO or Deutsche Welle. She was regional head at Europa Press National News Agency for six years; before that, she worked at EFE News Agency in London. Currently, based in Barcelona, she collaborates with several media as a freelance international journalist. Her latest trips were to Iran, in 2022, where she did a piece on women artists, and to Iraq, in 2023, where she traveled to meet a group of exiled Iranian Kurdish women. The resulting work has been published in El País.
