Urati Laboratori
Urati Lab is a research space that intertwines artistic practice and scientific thought. Their projects aim to create spaces where, by taking a political stance, they can rethink the relationships between virtuality and corporality. They worked on the project EN RESiDÈNCiA (2022–2023) by carrying out artistic and pedagogical research on the concept of catastrophe, with the aim of seeing through the eyes of the generation born in the 21st century. They are currently analysing which performative mechanisms govern both social protest movements and police repression.
Their work emerges from the overlap of the visual arts, literature, sound research and technological experimentation, as seen from a performative perspective. They are constantly seeking to expand scenography into new forms and contexts. They have worked in spaces such as Festival TNT, Fundació Brossa and Festival Sâlmon. Urati Lab are set designer and philosopher Albert Chamorro, visual artist Marta Lofi and musician and sound designer Sergio Camacho.
