Todd McEwen
Todd McEwen (California, 1953) is one of the most hilarious and up-close comic writers on the current English-language literary scene. With Fisher’s Hornpipe, he introduces Thoreau into a zany (his anti-hero suffers a painful blow to the head that alters his perception of reality) and absolutely charming story. It is published by España Automática, now bold enough to launch The Five Simple Machines, a collection of narratives, sexual and sentimental, which he’ll be presenting (perhaps with the help of the odd device) in his first appearance in this country.
