Sarah Whiting
An architect and academic, is well known for her commitment to exploring the relationships between architecture and politics, economy, and society. Currently Dean and Josep Lluís Sert Professor of Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, she has also taught at Princeton University, the University of Florida, and the Illinois Institute of Technology. Moreover, she is co-founder of WW Architecture, a studio that explores new ways of understanding urban and architectural spaces. She has written extensively on contemporary urbanism and architectural culture in ANY, Wired, and other publications, as well as editing Differences (in Spanish, Diferencias: topografía de la arquitectura contemporánea, Editorial GG, 2003), an anthology of texts by Ignasi de Solà-Morales. She is founding editor of the series Point, which aims to encourage debate on architecture and urbanism, and is currently a member of the editorial boards of the magazines The Plan, and Thresholds.
