Run Xin Zhou

A visual and multi-disciplinary artist of Chinese origin, her work focuses on her experiences, rawness and uprooted identity as the daughter of immigrants. She explores topics like memory, language, the third space of identity, feminism, the diaspora, sexuality, affective relations, racism and the issues in society by relating subject and space, through a subjective, autobiographical view. She uses tools like sound art, installation, performance, collage, sculpture and video, without forgetting the art of tattooing and jewellery as ritual.
