Rosa Pera
Barcelona, 1966. Lives and works in Barcelona.
Curator and art critic. She has been the founding director of Bòlit, Girona Contemporary Art Centre (2008-2012) as well as member of the first Executive Committee of Culture of Barcelona (2009-2012). Today she runs the master “Devices Cultural Design” at Elisava, School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona.
Among others, she has been curator of art exhibitions as Límbicus, Temor i desig de ser devorats, Altar Ego, Futur variable, Nits Fosques de l'ànima, Entusiasme, En construcció, Paisatge? and Recursos propis at the Bòlit (Girona Contemporary Art Centre). As an independent curator she has developed various projects and exhibitions such as El Geni de les Coses (2009-2010), Quòrum (La Capella, Barcelona, 2004), Ambulantes. Cultura Portátil (Andalucía Centre of Contemporary Art, Sevilla,2004); Doble Seducción (Sala Amadís, Madrid, 2003) and Insideout: Jardí del Cambalache (Antoni Tàpies Foundation, 2001). In addition, she has carried out interventions in public space together with Antoni Muntadas, for instance On Translation: Die Stadt + simposi Projectar. Imatge. Intervenció. Construcció. Espai Públic (CaixaForum-Barcelona, Le Fresnoy-Lille, Medientrum-Graz, 2004) and On Translation: La Imatge (MACBA, 2003).
