Richard Price
Richard Price is the author, among others, of The Wanderers, a masterpiece of young people’s literature about the Bronx gangs of the sixties. Fights, territory, honour and friendship, this time with the adolescent possibility of redemption. Social and personal relationships in the slums and projects of US cities form the basis of his work. Remember Clockers, the great Spike Lee film? That’s also a novel by Price, screenwriter for The Wire, the brilliant HBO series about corners and drug dealing in Baltimore.
