Quim Arrufat
Former member of the Parliament of Catalonia
Quim Arrufat was born in Seu d’Urgell (Lleida) and holds an undergraduate degree in Political Sciences and Administration (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.) In 1996 he began collaborating with the Vilanova counterinformation political group, Contracorrent, and was elected to the Vilanova and La Geltrú Town Hall as councilman in 2009 for the Candidatura d’Unitat Popular (CUP) party. In the 2011 elections, he was head of the CUP list which expanded its representation to 3 councilmen that year. In 2012 he was elected to the Parliament of Catalonia, a position he held until the end of 2015.
