Pere Almeda
Director of the Ramon Llull Institute
Pere Almeda has been director of the Ramon Llull Institute since 2021. A lawyer, he has an MA in Political Science and another postgraduate degree in International Relations and the Culture of Peace. He has worked with and for several institutions, including the Parliament of Catalonia, various departments of the Generalitat (Government) of Catalonia, the European Parliament, and the Department of Political Affairs of the United Nations General Secretariat. He was coordinator of the international project for the historical site of Sant Pau and also director of the Think Tank Fundació Catalunya Europa, where he headed the project Combatting Inequalities: The Great Global Challenge. He has also worked with several cultural sectors, for example as director of the Palau i Fabra Foundation, where he promoted diverse initiatives, including the poetry event Festival Poesia i +.
