Oriol Fontdevila

Curator, writer and art researcher.

His published works include the book El arte de la mediación (consonni, 2018). He curated Catalonia’s participation in the 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia as part of the Eventi Collaterali programme organised by the Institut Ramon Llull, and has also curated exhibitions at places including Hauser & Wirth Menorca, Maó; Centre d’Art Fabra i Coats, Barcelona; Casal Solleric, Palma; Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona; Fundació Antoni Tàpies, Barcelona; and the Musem of Contemporary Art Vojvodina, Novi Sad. He was a member of the curatorial team for the European project Performing the Museum and of the team of directors of the Catalan Government’s Sala d’Art Jove. He has been a guest lecturer on a number of master’s and other study programmes, and a member of the affiliated teaching staff on the Design Degree at the EINA school of design and art and the Arts Degree course at the UOC. With a degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Exhibition Studies from Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts London, he is currently studying for a doctorate in Humanities and Communication from the UOC with a competitive doctoral grant awarded by the same university.
