Ariadna Rodríguez and Iñaki Álvarez are nyamnyam. Integrating their learnings and unlearnings in various disciplines, their approach focuses on promoting the creation, diffraction and exchange of knowledge through interactive strategies in every (g)local context in which they work. In this crossroad of living arts, visual arts, critical-thinking and pedagogy, nyamnyam both creates projects and curates a transdisciplinary space for relationships and disruption; in this way, organisms (human and non-human), systems, environments and contexts interact and create friction with the standardised vision of the commercialisation of culture. Nyamnyam has diversified its practices in both context and geography and, in 2020, after eight years of activity at their Barcelona venue, opened the doors of mas nyamnyam, its centre of action, creation and critical thinking in Mieres (Girona).
