Núria Cadenes

Writer and journalist

She is a writer and journalist and runs the Fan Set bookstore in Valencia. With more than 10 books published and numerous literary awards, Núria Cadenes began her literary career with the works Cartes de la presó (Eliseu Climent, 1990) and Memòries de la presó (Eliseu Climent, 1994) where she recounts the first years of her imprisonment. Since then he has written several works including the biography of Ovidi Montllor, L'Ovidi (Eliseu Climent, 2002), Tota la veritat (La Magrana, 2016), with which he won the Crims de Tinta award in 2016, El banquer (Edicions de 1984, 2013) and Secundaris (Comanegra, 2018), among others. His latest book is Guillem (Amsterdam, 2020), Lletra d'Or Award 2021, a story about the murder of the young Valencian antifascist and pro-independence Guillem Agulló. He currently collaborates periodically in the digital newspaper Vilaweb, in Catalunya Ràdio and in El Temps.
