Noelia Quintero Herencia is a Puerto Rican director and producer, and author of over 50 documentaries on art, culture and contemporary Caribbean history for the television series “Prohibido olvidar” which she has directed since 2002. With over 15 years’ experience as a lecturer at the University of Puerto Rico and a researcher, she has produced various audiovisual projects combining academic research with digital visual culture. She has worked as a director and producer of film, radio and television in New York, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Spain. She is currently co-writing a full-length film that will star Puerto Rican artist René Pérez of Calle 13. PhD in Digital Visual Culture and master’s degree in Film Studies at New York University. She developed and conceptualized the videos “La hora de volvé” and “El Juidero” for Rita Indiana y los misterios.
