Narcís Comadira

Writer and painter. She graduated in History of Art at the University of Barcelona. Later, she was a reader at London University and a teacher at the Escola d’Arquitectura de Barcelona.

As a writer he has published poetry, prose, theatre and essays. His poetry is collected in the book Formes de l’ombra (2002). Later, he published Llast (2007), his most recent book of verses. Among his essays are Sense escut (1995), on literature and culture; Forma i prejudici (2006), about Noucentisme; L’ànima dels poetes (2002), on poetry; and Camins d’Itàlia (2005) a collection of travel notes. He is a weekly contributor to the culture section Quadern on the newspaper El País and a monthly contributor to Descobrir Catalunya.

As a painter he has produced various individual exhibitions and participated in a number of collective ones. He is the creator of the painting Elogi de la pedra de Girona, on the stairs of the municipal offices in that city, and the mural Poi s’ascose nel foco che li affina, in the vestibule of the faculty of letters at the University of Girona.
