Michele Catanzaro
Science journalist
Michele Catanzaro is a freelance journalist who, specialising in science, environment, health and technology, writes for such publications as Nature, Science, and El Periódico de Catalunya. With a PhD in physics, he is currently a lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Communication Sciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and a member of the History of Science Institute (IHC-UAB). Moreover, he is director of the project PerCientEx on excellence in science journalism, prior to which he was resident journalist at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies and Nature-Marsilius Invited Professor at Heidelberg University. Coauthor of the book Networks: A Very Short Introduction (Oxford University Press, 2012), he was also co-director of the documentary Injusticia exprés: el caso Óscar Sánchez (Fast Track Injustice: The Óscar Sánchez Case, 2014), winner of the Golden Nymph Award for Best Documentary, Montreal TV Festival, 2015.
