Michael Pearce

Architect

Architect from Zimbabwe. Graduated at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London in 1962. His work focuses on sustainable architecture and on exploring the principles of biomimicry. Pearce has undertaken projects in the UK, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Australia, China and South Africa. Some of his most well-known buildings are the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Harare and the CH2 in Melbourne. In 2003, Pearce was honored with the Prince Claus Award from the Netherlands for his innovations in the field of ecology and sustainable design.
