The Barcelona Debate
New African Cities
Between construction and destruction. What Role for Contemporary Artistic Creation?
Debate
The hypothesis that great African cities are privileged spaces of social and creative ferment can be fully verified. As can the fact that they are, to some extent, places with a growing number of problems which are extremely difficult to solve. This session will not only focus on the problems, but also on the possibilities which the new situation brings about.
Moderators: Josep Ramoneda
Participants: Jordi Balló, Sally Wade, Koku Konu, Viyé Diba, Michael Pearce
Directors: Josep Subirós (see Pep Subirós)
